SCEA-KPA STRUCTURED ENGAGEMENT
Today, the Shippers Council of Eastern Africa (SCEA) held a fruitful engagement with Captain Ruto, MD – Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), at ICD Nairobi to address members’ concerns. This meeting is part of our continuous structured engagements with KPA aimed at supporting shippers and providing timely interventions on operational issues.
Key outcomes from the engagement:
Deployment of additional resources at the Port of Mombasa already done to enhance efficiency. Issuance of notices for the transfer of long-stay containers and evacuation of empty containers. Ongoing engagements to further facilitate reefer cargo handling.SCEA remains committed to working with KPA and other stakeholders to ensure efficient cargo movement, ease of doing business, and improved service delivery for shippers across the region.
