Why Join the Shippers Council of Eastern Africa (SCEA)

The existing logistics and customs operations in Eastern Africa are constrained by various challenges, including port inefficiency, unpredictability, falling reliability levels, an overburdened road network, high transaction costs, non-harmonized regional policies, and fragmented regulatory reforms.

The Shippers Council of Eastern Africa (SCEA) has, over its existence, developed the expertise, networks, and recognition from relevant government and regional institutions to effectively engage and find solutions for these challenges. By joining SCEA, you become part of a robust network that works towards improving the logistics and trade environment in the region.

• Organizations concerned with the numerous challenges engulfing trade facilitation in Eastern Africa and want to be part of the change.
• Companies seeking research-based information in areas of logistics and trade facilitation.
• Organizations which share the values of the Shippers Council of Eastern Africa and want to be part of the positive change required in the logistics sector.

How to Join?

Joining is through application in the prescribed membership application form and making the requisite payments which include entrance/joining fee (Paid once) and an annual subscription which is based on company turn-over.

Remember: Membership is a partnership and you get out what you put in. The more events you attend and the more you keep telling us about your business the more we empower each other.
