Today, the Shippers Council of Eastern Africa (SCEA), led by our Chariman Mr. John Msafari, held a structured engagement with the Kenya Railways Corporation(KRC) MD, Mr. Phillip Mainga at KRC headquarters Nairobi. In the engagement SCEA represented members concerns. Issues discussed included Delays in Loading and Offloading Processes Leading to high cost of moving Cargo Through SGR, KRC Volume based Discounts, Utilization of SGR for Reefer containers, Development of last mile sidelines, Delays in Evacuation of Cargo from Naivasha to Malaba and Integration of the Malaba site to Kwatos among other issues.
